Education City Stadium | Qatar World Cup 2022

Education City Stadium also known as Qatar Foundation Stadium, it is one of the playing venues of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar. The stadium officially opened on 15th june 2020, it is a tribute for Frontline Healthcare workers during the covid pandemic. Besides its first official match on 3rd september 2022, played in the 2020-21 Qatar stars league season. The stadium is located on the outskirt of the Doha. Educational City Stadium is the eight official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Stadium, and it has capacity of 40,000 seats. After the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the stadium will maintain 20,000 seats for university athletics. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the stadium will host eight matches with six group games and two knockout matches. The design of the stadium reflects a diamond in the desert, it indicate quality, durability and resilience. The stadium has other facilities including parks, museums, multiple university campuses and other educational facilities. There are a few restaurants and one hotel, Premier Inn Doha Education City
