Al Janoub Stadium

Al Janoub Stadium formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium. It is one of the playing venues of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The stadium was officially opened on 16 may 2019 during the 2019 Amir Cup final between Al Sadd SC and Al-Dahail SC. The stadium is designed by architect Zaha Hadid. It was inspired by the sails of traditional dhow boats used by Fisher and Pearl divers. The stadium is a rectractable roofed football stadium in Al-Wakrah. Al Janoub Stadium is eight venue to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The stadium will host seven matches during the FIFA World Cup, with six group games along with one round of 16 knockout match of Qatar 2022. The stadium has capacity of 40,000 seats and it will be reduced from 40,000 to 20,000 after the tournament, the excess seats donated to football development projects overseas. Later it will be home to the Al-Wakrah sports club team.

Al Bayt Stadium

Al Bayt Stadium is one of the recently opened stadiums in Al Khor City, Qatar. The stadium officially opened on 30 november 2021 with a group match between Qatar and Bahrein in the Arab Cup 2021. The Al Khor city is also known for its pearl diving and fishing. The stadium's name its taken from 'bayt al sha'ar' which means tents historically used by nomadic peoples of the Gulf region. Al Bayt Stadium will host nine matches in the Fifa World Cup, including opening fixture, five other group meetings as well as three knockout matches. Khalifa International Stadium

Khalifa International Stadium also known as National Stadium. The stadium is the first playing venue of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Khalifa International Stadium named after Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar's former Emir. The stadium Built in 1976, it is the largest arena in Qatar. The stadium has hosted the Asian Games, Arabian Gulf Cup and AFC Asian Cup. Khalifa International Stadium will host eight matches during the FIFA World Cup, with six group games along with one round of 16 knockout match and the 3rd place match. The stadium has capacity of 40,000 seats, it is increased in 2006 Asian Games from 20,000 to 40,000 seats. The Khalifa Stadium features two dual arches and a wide canopy stretching below the arches. There are also have cooling systems installed in the stadium that will assisted well by the canopies. There are a few hotels near Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar.

Stadium 974

Stadium 974 previously known as Ras Abu Aboud. The stadium officially opened on 30 november 2021, during the launch event the venue renamed as Stadium 974. It hosted its first match on 30 november 2021 on the opening day of the FIFA Arab Cup, between the UAE and Syria. It is the first temporary venue in FIFA Wold Cup history, its built along the shores of the Gulf. Number of shipping containers used to build the venue. Stadium 974 has capacity of 40,000 seats and the design of the arena was unveiled by Fenwick Iribarren Architects on 26 november 2017. Lusail Stadium also known as Lusail Iconic Stadium. It is a biggest stadium in Qatar, stadium will be the eighth and final FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament venue. The official opening of the stadium is planned for 2022. The Design of the stadium is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow that indicates the famous Arabic Lantern called Fanar. The stadium has capacity of 80,000 seats, after the tournament the modular upper-tier of the 80,000 capacity stadium will be removed and used for betterment of a community. Lusail National Stadium will host ten matches during the FIFA World Cup, with six group games along with matches during every knockout stage of Qatar 2022, including the final.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Ahmad bin Ali Stadium popularly known as the Al-Rayyan Stadium. It is one of the playing venues of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The stadium officially opened on 18 december 2020 with the Amir Cup final between Al-Sadd and Al-Arabi. Al-Rayyan stadium has multi purposes, it is currently used for football matches and it is the home to Al-Rayyan Sports Club and Al-Kharitiyath Sports Club. The stadium's name taken from a person named Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani, the emir of Qatar. The design of the stadium indicates Qatari culture and Islamic architecture. The Ahmad bin Ali Stadium is one of eight stadiums being converted for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. The stadium will host seven matches during the FIFA World Cup, with six group games and one round of 16 knockout match of Qatar 2022. There are 40,000 seats are available, after the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the upper tier and almost half of the 40,000 seats will be handed over to football development project abroad. Al Thumama Stadium

Al Thumama Stadium is one of the football stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It is located near Hamad International Airport. The stadium officially opened on 22 october 2021 on the occasion of the Emir Cup final between Al-Sadd and Al-Rayyan. The design of the stadium indicates the gahfiya a traditional woven cap worn by men and boys all across the Arab World, the gahfiya symbolises the coming of age for youth. Al Thumama Stadium will host eight matches during the FIFA World Cup with six group games along with two knockout matches. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats, and half of the stadium's seats will be removed and will be donated other counteries. The remaining 20,000 seat arena will be used for football and other sporting events.

Education City Stadium

Education City Stadium also known as Qatar Foundation Stadium, it is one of the playing venues of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar. The stadium officially opened on 15th june 2020, it is a tribute for Frontline Healthcare workers during the covid pandemic. Besides its first official match on 3rd september 2022, played in the 2020-21 Qatar stars league season. The stadium is located on the outskirt of the Doha. Educational City Stadium is the eight official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Stadium, and it has capacity of 40,000 seats. After the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the stadium will maintain 20,000 seats for university athletics. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the stadium will host eight matches with six group games and two knockout matches. The design of the stadium reflects a diamond in the desert, it indicate quality, durability and resilience.
